The Envoy Hotel, located in Boston’s Seaport District and designed by Group One Partners and Stantec, recently opened in June 2015. This Boston waterfront hotel will serve as a gateway to Seaport Square, just a block from the site of the Boston Tea Party and Boston Harbor.
Located on a constrained site in a developing mixed-use neighborhood, the 136-key hotel features a ground floor restaurant and a rooftop bar with views of the city skyline. Because of its position along the harbor, rising water levels due to storm surge or climate change needed consideration; therefore, critical mechanical equipment was located on the ground floor, which is above the 100-year flood level, rather than the basement.
